1. Who we are and what this notice covers
Otiumz, Inc., a Delaware corporation, is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. "Otiumz", "we", "us" and "our" mean that company. This policy covers our website, mobile apps and support interactions. It explains what information we handle, why we use it, who receives it and the choices and rights you may have.
This policy covers our launch in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Your rights and the features available to you may depend on where you live. Reading a translation does not change your rights or mean that every feature is available in your country.
Otiumz, Inc. Privacy contact: privacy@otiumz.com
2. Information you provide
- Account details: your phone number, registration and verification information, birthday, account identifiers and preferences. We also handle Subaccount, Dating profile or contact details you provide. If you use a third-party sign-in service, we receive the information needed to connect that sign-in to your account.
- Subaccounts, Dating profiles and connections: names, user-defined IDs, avatars, bios, interests, gender information, dating preferences, follows and connections you add. This also includes the settings for your public or private Subaccounts.
- Content and communications: posts, photos, video, audio, messages, attachments, reports and other content you create, send or upload. Who can see it depends on the feature and the settings you choose.
- AI information: prompts, conversation context, persona settings and files you provide or select for an AI feature, along with its responses and your feedback.
- Purchases and support: the products or plans you select, purchase and subscription identifiers and status, transaction history, correspondence, and information needed to help with billing, safety, support or privacy requests.
Information you share may also describe other people. Please make sure you have permission or another lawful reason to provide it. Other users may share content or reports about you. Sign-in and payment providers may also send information needed to verify your account or purchases.
Subaccount and Dating profile details, dating preferences, precise location, messages and AI inputs may reveal information that the law treats as sensitive. Please share only what you want to use for the feature, check who can see it, and review the available permissions. Avoid adding sensitive details that the feature does not need.
3. Device information, usage and permissions
When you connect to Otiumz, we process technical details such as your IP address, device and operating system, app version and language. We also handle request and error records, along with identifiers needed to keep you signed in or deliver notifications. These details help us run, protect and troubleshoot Otiumz.
The mobile app uses Sentry to report errors and performance issues. A report may include information connected with the error or request. You can manage this through "Submit Error Logs" in General settings. Please restart the app after changing the setting so the change takes effect. We use diagnostic reports to investigate problems and improve service performance.
Features that use your camera, microphone, photos or location need the relevant device permission and feature settings. You can manage these permissions in your device settings. Turning off a permission may stop the related feature from working, but it does not delete information you already shared.
If you use nearby-places or dating features and allow location access, the app can use your device location to show nearby results or set a location for that feature. Connections you add within Otiumz help us provide messaging, audience controls and social features.
4. How we use information
- Create and manage accounts, verify access, save Subaccounts, Dating profiles and settings, deliver messages and content, and provide the features you choose.
- Calculate age and apply account or feature eligibility rules, as explained below.
- Produce AI responses or suggestions using the context you choose for those features.
- Process and verify purchases, provide paid features, prevent payment abuse and answer billing questions.
- Protect accounts and Otiumz, investigate reports, apply our rules, prevent fraud and misuse, and meet legal obligations.
- Answer support and privacy requests, investigate errors and assess service performance.
Optional features, such as AI suggestions, location-based discovery and notifications, depend on the features and settings you choose. You can choose not to use them or change the available controls, although the related features may then be unavailable. Neither Otiumz nor its AI providers trains AI models on user data. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
When we rely on your consent to use information, you can withdraw it, subject to applicable law. We will explain any effect this has on the feature. Some information may still be needed to provide a service you request or meet a legal obligation.
5. Why we ask for your birthday
Your birthday helps us calculate your age and check which features you can use. You need to be at least 13 to create an account and at least 18 to buy or receive in-app currency, receive creator earnings, or receive a payout. Other feature requirements may still apply.
We do not use the birthday you provide during registration to show your age on your public Subaccount. To protect your privacy, avoid adding your full birthday to public posts, Subaccount text or Dating profile text. You can read the birthday explanation during registration, before creating an account. Please contact us if your account birthday is incorrect or you have questions about how we use it.
6. Who can see what you share
Content you share publicly can be seen by other people. Your privacy settings control who can see your information and content in Otiumz. People who can see it may still save a copy or share it with others.
Before sending or posting, please check your Subaccount or Dating profile, recipients and audience settings. A creator, business or other user who receives information may also use it independently. Share only what you are comfortable making available to that audience.
8. AI processing and your choices
When you use an AI feature, self-hosted models or third-party AI providers process your prompt and the conversation history, persona instructions or files selected for it. Some features convert files into stored information that helps the AI find relevant context. This means a request may include more than your latest message.
Otiumz and its AI providers do not train AI models on user data. Information from your AI inputs and files that is identified as useful may be saved in that AI’s memory, which you can edit. Saving and using this memory is different from training a model. Deleting an AI also deletes its associated inputs and files, subject to the limited retention exceptions below.
Please review what an AI feature uses before sending information. Avoid sharing sensitive details or someone else’s information without permission or another lawful reason. Turning off an optional AI feature stops future requests from that feature; it does not automatically delete earlier messages, files or provider records. You can contact privacy@otiumz.com about access, correction or deletion.
9. Cookies and local storage
Our website and app use storage and similar technologies to keep services working. Examples include sign-in information, settings, cached content and saved legal documents. Policy version checks and downloads do not send your account identifier or sign-in token. The web server still receives normal connection details, such as your IP address.
The website uses browser storage to carry a referral code or invitation link into the app-download process. If you open an embedded YouTube video, YouTube receives connection information and may use its own storage technologies under its privacy notice. App-store links and links to other services take you to services run by other companies. Reading legal documents does not require analytics, remotely loaded fonts or embedded media.
You can manage storage through your browser or device settings. Clearing storage or uninstalling an app may remove local information or sign you out. It does not delete information held on our servers or cancel a subscription.
10. Retention and deletion
How long we keep information depends on the feature, why the information is needed, your requests and our legal obligations. The periods below describe our usual practices. Copies held by other people or independent providers may follow their own retention rules.
- Account details: we keep these until you request account deletion, even if you stop using the account. Inactive account details do not expire automatically.
- Messages and message media: we keep ordinary message history, including photos and other media messages, for one year and may keep it longer. After one year, we may delete it depending on available storage. We do not guarantee deletion at the one-year mark. Deletion requests and legal obligations may change this period.
- Moments media: photos and other media in Moments do not expire automatically. We keep them until you delete them or we carry out an applicable deletion request.
- AI inputs, files and memory: information identified as useful may be saved in editable memory for the relevant AI. You can edit that memory through the available controls. Deleting an AI also deletes its associated inputs and files.
- Logs and backups: we delete these periodically. Different systems may have different cleanup cycles, so a backup copy may remain for a time after information is removed from an active system. Our privacy team can explain what this means for a particular request.
We may need to keep limited information to meet a legal obligation, settle unpaid earnings, address fraud or security incidents, resolve a dispute, or bring or defend a legal claim. This policy and applicable law still protect information we keep. Copies that other people have already received may remain with them.
Account deletion includes a 30-day waiting period. If you sign back in during that period, your deletion request is canceled and we keep the account. If you do not sign back in, we permanently delete the account and its associated personal information after the 30-day period. The limited exceptions above still apply, and backup copies are removed through periodic cleanup. Copies that other users have kept independently may remain with them.
You can request account deletion in the app’s account settings, through the deletion-help page, or by contacting our privacy email. We may ask for enough information to confirm that you are entitled to make the request. Account deletion does not cancel store billing. If an exception or limit applies to your request, we will explain it in our response.
11. Security and international processing
We use technical and organizational safeguards to help protect personal information. No network or storage system can be completely secure. Please keep your account credentials safe and your devices up to date, and contact support promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
OVHcloud hosts customer data in the United States. Our self-hosted AI infrastructure and third-party AI providers are also based in the United States. If you use Otiumz from Canada, Mexico or another country, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States for these services.
Privacy laws in another country may differ from those where you live, and authorities there may have lawful access to information. We remain responsible for the legal obligations that apply to our use of your information, including required protections when we work with service providers.
12. Your choices and privacy requests
Account, Subaccount, Dating profile, audience, blocking and device-permission settings let you manage how you use Otiumz. Some changes affect future activity without removing information you have already shared.
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may be able to ask for access to or a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, withdraw consent, or limit certain uses or sharing. Some laws also let you request a copy in a format you can reuse or transfer to another service, object to how your information is used, challenge a decision, or have someone you authorize act for you. Legal conditions and exceptions may apply.
To make a request, email privacy@otiumz.com. Please include the contact details needed to find your account, your country or region, and what you would like us to do. Please do not send your password or a verification code. We may ask you to verify your identity through an appropriate channel. If someone is acting for you, we may ask for proof that you authorized them.
We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If we cannot carry out all or part of a request, we will explain why and how you can challenge the decision where that option is available. You can also raise a concern with the relevant privacy authority. Making a privacy request does not take away your other rights.
13. Information for the United States and Canada
United States. Privacy rights vary by state, and not every state law applies to every situation. Please contact our privacy team about any rights you have under the law to access, correct or delete information, receive a copy you can reuse or transfer, or opt out of certain uses. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We can also help with other available choices, a request made by someone you authorize, or an appeal if you disagree with our response. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
Canada. You can ask about our privacy practices and request access to or correction of your information. Where applicable, you can withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. We will explain any relevant consequences. Please raise concerns with our privacy team. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the appropriate provincial authority.
14. Additional notice for people in Mexico
If you are in Mexico, Otiumz, Inc. is responsible for the personal data described in this notice. Its registered office is at 251 Little Falls Drive, Wilmington, DE 19808, United States. Please send privacy questions and requests to privacy@otiumz.com.
You can ask to access or correct your personal data, request its cancellation (deletion), or object to its use. These are known as ARCO rights. You can also withdraw consent or ask us to limit the use or disclosure of your data. Email privacy@otiumz.com with your name, a way to reply, the right you want to exercise and details that help us find the relevant records. We will explain how to verify your identity or authority to act for someone else. For a correction, we may ask for supporting information.
The information and purposes sections explain the uses needed to provide the services you request. You can choose not to use optional AI or location features, change relevant permissions, or contact us to limit an optional use. The sharing and security sections explain service providers and processing in other countries. If a transfer or the use of sensitive data requires consent, we must meet those consent requirements. This notice does not replace that consent.
15. Children and age restrictions
You need to be at least 13 to register for Otiumz, and some features require an older age. Otiumz is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through an account, please contact privacy@otiumz.com. We will investigate and take the steps required by applicable law.
Age requirements, parental involvement and the legal basis for using information can vary by location and feature. Parents and guardians can contact us about a child’s information or eligibility. Some uses of information or features may require additional permission. Creating an account or agreeing to the Terms does not replace consent required by law.
16. Changes to this notice
Each published version shows when it was published, when it takes effect and what changed. Earlier versions remain available to read. A new version or an automatic download does not, by itself, give us permission to use your information in a new way.
If a change requires extra notice or consent, we will provide the notice or ask for consent as required by applicable law. Please contact our privacy team if you have a question about a change or the policy that applied at a particular time.
